David Hansen April 14, 2011 FAQ for Guests / Booking Online on SunnyRentals.com

Many of the properties on SunnyRentals.com may be booked online with immediate confirmation. Look for the properties that have the orange 'Book Now' button.

To make an online booking:

  1. Find a property with the orange 'Book Now' button.
  2. Go to the property page
  3. Using the 'Check availability and Calculate price' feature in the right side, select the desired dates for your booking (arrival date and departure date).
  4. If the dates are available, you will be shown a price for your booking. This includes the rental rate, fixed mandatory costs (eg. final cleaning) and any booking fees.
  5. Click the orange 'Book Now' button below.
  6. Fill out the details requested in the Book Now page.
  7. Proceed to the Payment step
    • If your arrival date is more than 50 days away, you can secure your booking with a 30% deposit.
    • If the arrival date is less than 50 days away, you must pay 100% of the price to secure your booking.
  8. Enter your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) details or use the PayPal payment option.
  9. After your payment is accepted, you will receive a Booking Confirmation page, and an email confirming your booking with your receipt will be sent.
  10. Your booking is complete!
  11. 28 days before your scheduled arrival date, you will be sent a travel voucher by our Guest Relations team. This includes the property address, details of the key-holder, arrival times etc.
  12. Print this voucher and take it with you when you travel.

If you paid a 30% deposit, you will be sent an email reminder to pay the balance 42 days before your arrival date.

David Hansen April 14, 2011 FAQ for Guests / Renting from Private Owners

When renting from a Private Owner, use common sense to avoid disappointment or in rare cases scams. The following guidelines should help you. 

  1. Always establish telephone contact with the owner. No serious owner will not be able to talk to you on the phone.
  2. Beware of prices or offers that look 'too good to be true'.
  3. Establish to your own satisfaction that the owner is indeed who he/she says they are.
  4. Always try to agree a minimum up-front payment to hold your reservation.
  5. NEVER transfer money using wire services such as Western Union.
  6. If something doesn't feel right, ask SunnyRentals support to help you validate the owner before you sign any rental contracts or make any payments.

While we do random checks on the Private Owners advertising on our site, your own common sense must always prevail.

David Hansen March 23, 2011 FAQ for Holiday Home Owners / Account Management

It's simple for Home Owners to add their property to SunnyRentals.com. It can take between 20-60 minutes, depending upon how fast you are using a computer and how concentrated you are.

  1. Register for a new owner account
  2. Click the link the sign-up email to verify your account 
  3. Complete your owner profile
  4. Make a payment for your Advert - use the coupon code if you have one
  5. Use the wizard to add the details, description, photos, rates etc for your property
  6. Publish your Advert!
  7. Use the booking calendar to add bookings or periods the property is not available for booking


Guests can contact you using the 'Contact Owner' form on your property Advert page, or by calling you if you choose to list your telephone number on your Advert.  If the guest uses the Contact Owner form, you will receive an email alert to notify you.
